emotional abuse

Physical and Behavioural Signs

EMOTIONAL ABUSE:

Emotional abuse occurs when a person/child is frequently rejected, isolated, threatened or witnesses family violence. It can include hostility, put-downs and derogatory name-calling, ‘coldness’ and emotional distancing.

Emotional abuse can cause mood swings, depression, self-harm and suicide.
